Takin' It Easy

Last night at dinner, we discovered that Annabelle has two teeth coming in! It was really exciting for us and quite unexpected, too, since Annabelle is not even 4 months old yet. I read that the average age is 7 months (when a baby first starts teething) by a friend's baby started teething at 2 months, so I guess anything is possible!

We decided to take it kind of easy today. Annabelle is being a bit fussy lately (I guess she has a good excuse!) so we didn't do much reading today. Annabelle wanted some extra attention today, so I spent a good part of the day holding her, which was beneficial for both of us. So, we read a little bit from "James and the Giant Peach" and are now up to the point where the peach has dropped into the ocean, but its inhabitants haven't found out yet. The ladybug has merely made the comment that it feels like they are "bobbing up and down", and everybody goes up to check it out. Annabelle seemed really interested in the book today, which made it a lot of fun for me to read. The chapters are short, but we normally only get 2 or 3 read each day, so we'll probably be on this book for a little while yet.





Annabelle is starting to plump up. Up until now, she has still fit into everything in her closet....she hadn't outgrown anything yet, although her newborn clothes were starting to get a little tight. She is now just barely fitting into 3 month size clothes, so I'm quite certain her newborn clothes don't fit anymore. This just seemed to happen overnight! My little girl is getting so big!
